Bitty Beatz Ballet (Ages 2.5 - 4)
This class is for our tiniest dancers – Ages 2.5-4. In this class we will focus on the basics of Ballet including the terminology as well as movements in a fun and non-threatening way. Ballet provides grace, poise, and helps with posture, flexibility and fitness and supports coordination and balance.
Creative Movement. This program focuses on coordination and creativity. This is a combination class of Ballet & Tap in which your dancer will learn the basics of each style to increase balance, rhythm, movement and musicality. This class will perform both a tap and ballet dance in the year end recital
Our ballet classes focus on knowledge of ballet terminology and technique. This class will include work at the Barre, across the floor as well and center-floor work. Here, we will explore multiple styles of Ballet while increasing precision, balance and overall strength. Ballet is the core to all dance and will be key for our students as they continue their dance education in other styles.
This classical ballet technique concerns pointe work, in which a ballet dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet in fitted pointe shoes. In order to be considered for this class; ballet dancers must pass a skills test and have a strong background in ballet technique. This class requires pre-approval from the studio owners. Jazz combines techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with the current forms of popular dance. Jazz also has its own movement vocabulary ranging from the isolation of certain body parts to the movement of the entire body and focuses on syncopated rhythms in the music. Our Jazz/Musical Theater classes combine the Jazz technique with theatrical movement and Broadway style dancing.
Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement.
Our Modern/Ballet Class is for dancers with previous dance experience. This class combines the two styles with a heavy focus on Ballet technique and more of a creative choreography focus on Modern. Modern is an expressive style of dance that ranges from floor work to jumps, partnering, improvisation and more.
Lyrical dance is a combination of ballet and jazz dance that often uses music with lyrics to inspire the movements of the dancer. We utilize the lyrics from the song to inspire the dance and the result is a style that focuses on strong emotion as well as a more individual approach than other styles of dance. In this class we will spend time at the barre, across the floor as well as learning choreography and improvisation.
For dancers with a strong background in ballet. Connect your mind and body through fluid dance while elevating technique and skill. Contemporary combines ballet and modern techniques with emotional and musical expression. This class will concentrate on contraction and release, off-center balance and suspension. Our Intermediate class will also include guest teachers in a variety of professions to include; physical therapy; strenght & fitness; yoga/mindfulness and nutrition
Hip Hop classes focus on learning the fundamentals of the many funk/ street styles under the dance umbrella of Hip Hop, while exploring the history of Hip Hop culture. Our beginner class will bring fun and energetic music and moves to your dancer's day! As we progress we develop our skills through hard work and dedication, and with improvement will come increasingly more difficult combinations and tricks. We deeply encourage a judgment free environment in this class that allows for freedom of expression through movement and creativity.
Popping falls under the umbrella of Hip Hop Dance. Popping is described as sharp, isolated movements in the body concentrated to specific body parts creating variations such as arm pops, leg pops, chest pops and more. This is an exciting dance form to study and we will explore this style through techniques, freestyle, choreography and more!
Acro dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precise acrobatic elements. In our beginner class, students will learn stretches and conditioning to strengthen their muscles and increase flexibility. Classes focus on proper hand placement and body alignment. Basic tricks will be introduced. Our Acro programs are based on safe and effective progressions in all areas including: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling. Our pre-school program is led by certified teachers. Our Intermediate class will also include guest teachers in a variety of professions to include; physical therapy; strenght & fitness; yoga/mindfulness and nutrition
Beatz is pleased to offer a Production class this year that combines different styles of dance with performance through theatrical dance. We will include tap, jazz, hip hop, ballet and acrobatics based upon our students strengths to create this year's production piece.

Improve your mood and attitude. Depression and/or anxiety find their way into our day without warning. This class is not only a way to effectively raise your heart rate and work your muscles; but also ease symptoms of depression and stress by releasing certain chemicals in your brain. It provides a way to unwind and release stress. In this class, we will incorporate conversation of daily stresses to relate to each other and support each other with a means to release them
